Alfred Health Privacy Policy

Alfred Health is an Alexa skill that helps adults set a daily medication reminder and record whether a medicine was taken or skipped.

This Privacy Policy explains how Alfred Health collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the skill.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use Alfred Health, we may collect and store:

  • A technical Alexa account identifier used to associate your schedule and medication status with your Alexa account. We do not receive your Amazon password.
  • Medication routine information you provide, such as medicine name, dosage details, reminder time, and frequency.
  • Medication-status information, such as whether you recorded a medicine as Taken or Skipped and the time of that record.
  • Reminder-related information needed to create and manage daily Alexa reminders.
  • Limited technical information needed to operate and secure the service, such as request identifiers and error logs.

If you choose to enable a future optional Ring camera integration, Alfred Health may also store limited motion-event metadata from one camera you select, such as the event time, camera reference, and motion classification. Alfred Health does not store Ring video, snapshots, or audio as part of this feature. Ring motion is supplementary context only and is never treated as confirmation that medication was taken.

2. How We Use Information

We use the information described above to:

  • Create and present your daily medication reminder.
  • Record and display your Taken or Skipped status.
  • Respond when you ask about your medication status.
  • Maintain, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Alfred Health.
  • Provide optional, user-configured reminder or status experiences.

Alfred Health does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment recommendations, or emergency services.

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information or use it for advertising.

We share information only as needed to operate Alfred Health, including with:

  • Amazon Alexa, to provide the Alexa skill and reminders you request.
  • Amazon Web Services, which hosts the secure technical infrastructure used by Alfred Health.
  • Ring, only if you choose to connect an optional Ring camera feature.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when necessary to protect the security, rights, or safety of Alfred Health, its users, or others.

4. Data Retention

We retain your medication routine and status information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Alfred Health, maintain the service, resolve problems, meet legal obligations, or enforce agreements.

You may request deletion of your Alfred Health data by contacting us at contact@oseterics.com. We may retain limited information where required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes.

5. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. No service can guarantee absolute security, so please use Alfred Health responsibly and do not share sensitive information unnecessarily.

6. Your Choices

You can choose whether to set a reminder, record a medication status, enable the Alfred Health skill, or use any optional Ring integration.

You may disable Alfred Health through the Alexa app. Disabling the skill does not automatically delete information already stored by Alfred Health. To request deletion, contact us at contact@oseterics.com

You may also manage Alexa permissions, notifications, and reminders in the Alexa app.

7. Children’s Privacy

Alfred Health is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to Alfred Health, contact us at contact@oseterics.com

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date above. Your continued use of Alfred Health after an update means you accept the updated policy.
